Knowledgebase of Common Issues

My server has been up for several hours yet mail is stuck in your queue

This is a common problem that is almost always caused by your firewall or spam filters rate & connection limiting features. To address this we ask that you not subject our IP range to your rate & connection limiting. We still ask that you scan our e-mails for spam. Our IP range is as follows: 130.94.122.144/28 (Netmask: 255.255.255.240). This means that each IP address between 130.94.122.145 - 130.94.122.158 not be subjected to your firewall or spam filters rate & connection limiting feature. Once you make this change you should start seeing mail flow in within a couple of hours.

Can delivery of queued messages be forced manually?

Messages for each domain are queued on several different servers on our end. Each server retries every 1-2 hours to send you messages. We cannot manually force delivery of mail. If you are not receiving your queued messages within a couple hours after your server is back online see our help topic above about messages stuck in the queue.

How often do your servers try to send queued messages?

Our servers usually retry every 1-2 hours, however this does not mean that if your server was down for an extended period of time, such as days, that all the queued messages will return to your server within 1-2 hours after it is back online. Depending on the number of messages queued for your domain and how fast your server can process e-mails we are forwarding it, the amount of time it takes to get all queued messages to you could be several hours. We cannot change the retry interval as it is a global setting for our entire network and we can't manually force delivery of queued messages.
